There are several reports available to all users that provide information about hospital activity such as patient caseload, sales, and expenses. These reports are located under the File menu:

Clinician Reports


Clinician reports show activity for a single clinician.

  • Clinician Caseload by Senior Clinician - Detailed monthly and annual statistics for Visit Caseload, In-Patient Caseload, Out-Patient Caseload, Referral Caseload, Animals Treated, and Hospital Days. These statistics are calculated on visits where the selected clinician was identified as the Discharging Senior Clinician.
  • Clinician Caseload by Attending Clinician - Similar to the above report, except it is based on the Attending Clinician.
  • After-Hour Incentives - Allows House Offices to request payment and show previous requests for after-hour case work.
  • Incomplete Medical Records - Incomplete medical records for the clinician that is logged in.

Hospital Reports


Hospital Reports show combined statistics for the entire Hospital.

  • Reporting Terms and Definitions - Definition of accounting and caseload terms used in reports.
  • Hospital Financial Activity by Responsibility Center - Shows the Gross Sales, Discounts, Adjustments, Net Sales, Expenses, and Margin of all Responsibility Centers for a period of one month or one year (selectable parameter).
  • Large Animal Annual Caseload by Species - Shows Annual Caseload and Animals Treated, by Species for each year since 1998.
  • Small Animal Annual Caseload by Species - Shows Annual Caseload and Animals Treated, by Species for each year since 1998.
  • Monthly Caseload by Species (detailed)- For a selected Hospital (Large or Small) and a selected Species, the report shows monthly and annual statistics for Visit Caseload, InPatient Caseload, Out-Patient Caseload, Referral Caseload, Animals Treated, and Hospital Days.
  • Large Animal Caseload - Shows monthly and annual Visit Caseload, In-Patient Caseload, Out-Patient Caseload, Referral Caseload, Staff/Student Caseload, Animals Treated, and Hospital Days for Large Animal Hospital Cases.
  • Small Animal Caseload - Shows monthly and annual Visit Caseload, In-Patient Caseload, Out-Patient Caseload, Referral Caseload, Staff/Student Caseload, Animals Treated, and Hospital Days for Small Animal Hospital Cases.
  • Supervisor Employee List - Shows a list of employees that report to a given supervisor.
  • Senior Clinician Annual Caseload and Sales - Shows year-to-date caseload, hospital days, and generated sales for all clinicians for a fiscal year.

Responsibility Center Reports


Responsibility Centers (RC) are the primary entities used by the Hospital to account for sales, income, and revenue. All charges (on invoices or on account) and expenses are attributable to some RC. RC's have a 5-digit account number. RC's are different than Clinical Services and are often (but not always) closely associated with a Clinical Services. This section shows reports that provide information about a single Responsibility Center's performance.

  • Reporting Terms and Definitions - Definition of accounting and caseload terms used in reports.
  • Monthly Financial Activity Summary - This is the main responsibility center activity report. It shows sales, discounts, adjustments, expenses, and accession caseload for each month for a given fiscal year.
  • Gross Sales by Fee and Month - This report shows monthly quantity and dollar amount of sales for each fee charged by a responsibility center for a given fiscal year.
  • Gross Sales by Month, with chart - Shows monthly and annual gross sales for a responsibility center. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • Net income by Month, with chart - Shows monthly and annual net income for a responsibility center. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • Expenses by Month, with chart- Shows monthly and annual expenses for a responsibility center. A line chart is included to identify trends.

Clinical Service Reports


Clinical Services manage patients and serve student rotations. A Clinical Service's role is to admit, manage, discharge patients, and request services from RC's. Although the primary accounting entity is the RC, Generated Sales

  • Reporting Terms and Definitions - Definition of accounting and caseload terms used in reports.
  • Caseload by Month - Shows monthly and annual caseload for a clinical service. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • Caseload by Various Metrics - Shows monthly and annual Visit Caseload, In-Patient Caseload, Out-Patient Caseload, Referral Caseload, Staff/Student Caseload, and Animals Treated for a clinical service.
  • Inpatient Caseload - Shows monthly and annual In-Patient caseload for a clinical service. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • OutPatient Caseload - Shows monthly and annual Out-Patient caseload for a clinical service. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • Caseload by Species - Shows monthly Visit Caseload for a clinical service, broken down by patient species, for a given fiscal year. Line and pie charts are included to visualize case mix.
  • Generated Sales by Month, with chart - Monthly and annual Generated Sales are shown for a given clinical service.
  • Hospital Days - Shows monthly and annual hospital days for a clinical service. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • SA Zoo Medicine Wildlife Caseload and Sales - Shows monthly and annual wildlife caseload and generated sales. A line chart is included to identify trends.
  • SA Zoo Medicine Non-Wildlife by Species and Breed - Shows monthly wildlife caseload broken down by species/breed for a given fiscal year.
