Depending upon the job or role that a person is in, there may be certain requirements that must be met in order to maintain access to VMIS. While these requirements may vary based on the job or role, all requirements must be continuously met in order to maintain access to certain parts or all of VMIS.

All Users


All users are required to acknowledge their acceptance of the VMIS Statement of Responsibility before being able to access VMIS. Due to the confidential or protected information stored in VMIS, this Statement of Responsibility also serves as a Confidentiality Agreement. All users must agree to the Statement of Responsibility every 90 days in order to maintain access to VMIS.

Users must also regularly log on to VMIS to maintain access. Any user that does not log on to VMIS within a period of 6 months will automatically have their account disabled.

Hospital Employees


All Hospital employees are required to complete all training courses assigned by the VMTH Human Resources office to maintain access to VMIS. If a user has past-due training assignments, their ability to access VMIS may be disabled until all outstanding training courses have been completed.

Clinicians


All clinicians are required to maintain their State Board veterinarian licensing to maintain full access to VMIS. If a clinician's license expires, their user account will be restricted to inquiry-only, or read-only, access until their license is renewed and the VMTH Human Resources office is able to verify the licensing with the State Board.
