How To: Attach Faxes to a Medical Record
Select the File option from the top of the main VMIS screen.
From the dropdown, select the Fax Log option.
The Fax Log screen will appear. Select the Faxes Received tab at the top of the screen. Select the desired date from the fax date dropdown.
Locate the desired fax. The faxes without a case number listed in the case number field are the ones that haven’t been attached to a record yet.
Select the fax and then select the add to MR button at the top of the screen.
The Patient Selection screen will appear. Locate the patient. Once the Patient is located, double click the account. The Select visit screen will appear. Note: A specific visit only needs to be selected if the fax is lab results.
Select save when finished.
