 +Select the **menu** option from the top of the main VMIS window labeled **Client services**.

 +From the drop down, select the **admissions** option.

 +The animal preadmissions screen will appear.  Select the **referrals** tab.

 +Double click the desired referral to convert it to a pending admission.  The admission screen will appear containing the information from the referral.  To have the referral entered as a pending admission, hit the save button.
