Once you are familiar with each you will then be able to tell which will give you the most information to use for any instance.</color> **OPTION 1** Press **F4**. This will give you quick access to the **Patient Summary** screen. From this screen, click the <color #00a2e8>blue magnifying glass</color> in the upper left of the screen. This will allow you to enter your search information. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:patient_.png |}} {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:patient_search.png |}} After clicking on the correct client/patient, the Patient Summary screen will populate with all their information. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:admissions_new_patient.png |}} **OPTION 2** Click the **patient information** button from the quick launch menu on the main VMIS Screen. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:quick_launch_patient_information.png |}} Once the Patient Summary screen appears, click the <color #00a2e8>blue magnifying glass</color> icon next to the search bar in the top left hand corner of the screen. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:patient_.png |}} The patient selection screen will appear. NOTE: Even if the referring veterinarian’s office believes the patient has never been seen by us before, still search the patient and or client using the search fields in this box. **OPTION 3** Click the **Client Services** tab at the top of the Main Menu. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:client_services_menu_option.png |}} Click **Admissions**. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:admissions.png |}} Click **NEW**. Begin the search process. {{ :userdocs:how-to:ch1:preadmissions_new_button.png |}} **OPTION 4** From most screens, you will see a button in the shape of a paw with the word Patient below. This is a quick launch button for the Patient Summary screen.
