VMIS at Work

----------

VMIS is installed on all VMTH-owned computers in both the Small and Large Animal Hospitals as part of their default setup configuration. In the event that VMIS is needed on a CVM- or VMTH-owned computer where it is not currently installed, it can be installed through submitting a request to the CVM Helpdesk or through the ZENworks utility that is on all CVM-managed computers. As part of the VMIS installation, a shortcut to launch VMIS is placed on the co…

Maintaining Access to VMIS

Depending upon the job or role that a person is in, there may be certain requirements that must be met in order to maintain access to VMIS. While these requirements may vary based on the job or role, all requirements must be continuously met in order to maintain access to certain parts or all of VMIS.

Default Passwords

----------

Default passwords are unique passwords automatically generated by VMIS when a user account is created or when a user's password is reset. When logging in with a default password, users will be required to set a new password and will be unable to access VMIS if the default password is not changed. If the default password is not changed within 30 days of account creation or password reset, the user account will be automatically disabled.

User Accounts

----------

Each person who has been approved to access VMIS will be given their own password-protected User Account with a unique logon ID (username). Each person is responsible for their own user account and passwords should be treated as confidental information (not to be shared). User Accounts will remain in place until the person is no longer employed by the CVM or until they no longer have a need to access VMIS. If an account is not used for a p…
